SewLibra: I don't do pleated or puffy sleeve caps. I used a knit tee sleeve for a general guide to cut off the gathers. First measure the armscye and make the cap fit the armscye.
SewLibra: After shortening 3 in. and eliminating the gathers.
SewLibra: The sleeve fit in perfectly! The sticky dot tells me that's the wrong side of the fabric.
SewLibra: After the sleeves were sewn in, I wanted them narrower at the hem end. I used painters tape as a seam guide. Nothing I have would mark this fabric!
SewLibra: A serger goof. Well, I goofed. I fixed it with a zig zag on the sewing machine.
SewLibra: Again, love my clapper! It works great on flattening seams.
SewLibra: The stretch interfacing is on and it fits nicely in the neck opening.
SewLibra: Since the dress has a large neck opening and is knit, I left out the zip but kept the kick pleat. So, I had to have a CB seam.
SewLibra: The v-neck turned out really nice. I tried a method of making one or two straight stitches at the V instead of a pivot.
