Husqvarna Viking 940. I bought this machine in 1986 and it was a great machine! Seventeen years of use and the mother board went out though, made me sad. I still got $200 for a trade-in on a brand new Bernina 1008 in 2003.

Bernina 1008 mechanical. Sews through anything and also has a removable table. Love the slim free arm on this one. Purchased new in 2003 but sadly Bernina is no longer making them.

Last member to join the family, a Janome 900CPX Coverpro coverstitch machine. Purchased 04/29/2016. Knit hems are a breeze now!

My first serger was this Janome Harmony 9102D purchased in 2003 about the same time as the Bernina 1008. I gave it to a neighbor because I never used it after getting the Brother 1034D. The threading on the 1034D is a breeze compared to the Janome.

Cover for annoying blinking dishwasher light and a reminder that the dishes inside are clean. I used two layers of heavy black cotton twill, made a casing at the top, and inserted a heavy copper pipe for a weight to keep it in place. Fun project!
SewLibra:
Before assembling the two layers of back cotton twill I used decorative stitches and lettering from my Brother SB4138. Works great! Edit 2022: Seven years later and it's in still in perfect shape! Due to the heavy copper pipe it has to be hand washed,

Quilters Slidelock with Lighted Edge. Safely use a rotary cutter no matter what kind of sewing you do.
SewLibra:
Cut resistant glove, waaay too big. I can't use this with a rotary cutter at all. It's clumsier than I am!

For the neckline, shoulder seams and shoulder opening edges I used Design Plus fusible bias tape. It is not a stretchy product.
SewLibra:
I used 1" Pellon Knit-N-Stable tape for the sleeve hems and bottom hem. It has lots of stretch and perfect for hems.
