The first time I saw one of these, I confess to having no idea what it was. It's a Douglas B-23 Dragon. This one is 39-047 (N880L) preserved at Castle AFB Air Museum near Atwater, CA.

McDonnell made the F-101 Voodoo, and 53-2422 is only the fifth example. This NF-101A is derelict on the Edwards AFB photo range. It's possible to visit this after a few hundred yards of walking from a public road.
Alfred Fartknocker:
There are only a handful of Douglas F3D Skynights left. Miramar keep this EF-10B, Bu.Aer 124630/ WF-23. The bulbous nose made it a good choice as a radar trials a/c, and Raytheon had a few for that purpose- which is why this one is here.

We hired a Cessna, and my daughter flew us around Davis-Monthan AFB and the Boneyard. Galaxies at the top, P-3s at the bottom and a great variety in between.

Most of the SAAB Drakens you find in the USA are ex Danish AF. This spotless J35D is ex Swedish AF 35350. It must have been in the UK too, as it's been G-BOAR at some point. Here it is at Mojave, CA- since moved (flew?) to Chino.

This F-4E Phantom was one of dozens parked at Hatzerim. This is 223 (ex 74-1027) although the serial is rather faded. This revetment held 9 F-4, 12 Hughes 500 and 6 Tzukits.
