Meeting of the minds in Tacoma. L to R: JDG, Rainbow, Handsome Paul.
Dirt/Drops:
Pinch me, is this real?
Dirt/Drops:
Yup, slow down when (one of the) mountain'sre out.
Dirt/Drops:
JDG does bicycle portraits.
Dirt/Drops:
Future coffee outside spot?

People powered exploration.

Poor cell reception and brilliant light means...

We get it dude, you La Croix.
Dirt/Drops:
Dat evening light...
Dirt/Drops:
Rainbow's craftiness goes well and beyond the walls of a bike shop.
Dirt/Drops:
Just a couple of friendly Minnesotans.

So close to camp!!
Dirt/Drops:

Dirt/Drops:
One of the many, many, gravel climbs.

And one of the many, many paved descents...
Dirt/Drops:
Rolling deep to camp on night one.
Dirt/Drops:
It got weird night two, morning of the third day. JDG patched a hole in his Ralph bibs with a dollar bill. Peej is clearly impressed.
Dirt/Drops:
We made it to Trout Lake after a chilling AF descent and were greeted with a rainbow!!
Dirt/Drops:
Peter brought this amazing fritter along on day two and waiting to bring it out for 30 or so miles. I was very jealous at this point.
Dirt/Drops:
JDG scrawling another corn dog into the totem. The one in black was still there from a year before.
Dirt/Drops:
In addition to singing show tunes, Peter creates bouquets along the way. ✌️
Dirt/Drops:
This was our multimodal return home. I broke my bike the day prior so I had to catch a ride to Portland. Everyone else rode, taking the scenic route along the Columbia River Gorge.
Dirt/Drops:
Day one, spirits were high. Absolutely no reason why the Internet should miss this moment!!
Dirt/Drops:
But first, a milkshake and a burger, ten miles or so out of Tacoma after the first flat.
Dirt/Drops:
We were also multimodal on the way out of town, opting for the mid-afternoon Sounder from King Street Station in Seattle to Tacoma. A word of advice: only two bikes to a car unless you want to be forced to move back and forth on the car.
Dirt/Drops:
Jan beginning the process of Rinko'ing his bike before boarding the Amtrak back to Seattle. This takes him probably 15 min.
Dirt/Drops:
Tom was the real hero of the day; after my derailleur self destructed, he towed me via two bungees for probably 10 miles.
