I've been buying inexpensive ikea frames for recent print acquisitions but am disappointed with the mat size/colors. I am too cheap to custom frame and double mat. Today I decided to try adding an inexpensive homemade accent color. Print by @witandwhistle

I'm having a hard time finding a good background for my #pickledish #bucketlistQAL bee looking for aqua with a good floral. I found this quilt online last night and it has me contemplating a different color scheme. And, der, liberating the block.

@maritzasoto @applecydermill here is my guess. I think it is a 5-patch base unit with 3 different triangles and a square all attached to a large hexagon. With either an appliqué circle (my preference) or and inset one , or you could even reverse appliqué.
