davidchriswilson: PRR Pitcairn Roundhouse (selectively compressed).
davidchriswilson: Bessemer, PA. This area will have a short curved passenger shelter. The current shelter is a model of the Pitcairn passenger shelter. It was built before I knew about the standard PRR structure colors.
davidchriswilson: This area is representative of the many girder bridges in the Port Perry area.
davidchriswilson: Munhall/Homestead Area. I want to have a model of the P&LE Homestead Passenger station between the URR and P&LE tracks. In the foreground I hope to have the URR Munhall Yard office.
davidchriswilson: The Munhall Wharf. This area represents the URR rail to water transfer south of the Homestead works. The wharf wall is patterned after the wharf wall in Braddock.
davidchriswilson: The URR High Grade Line. This bridge is representative of the URR bridges in Bessemer.
davidchriswilson: This area is a mess... I want it to be similar to the P&LE tunnel in the south side.
davidchriswilson: I love the PRR Shadyside passenger station, and I want to build a model of it for this area.
davidchriswilson: This is a mix of the Homeville part of West Mifflin and duck Hollow across from Homestead. I want buildings like those that were present along the street that I grew up on.
davidchriswilson: The large cut sandstone "Consoli" walls are reminiscent of the walls seen on the Monongahela division in Pittsburgh's Southside.
davidchriswilson: This is a model of Tri-boro Supply that was located in East Pittsburgh. In real life, the Union Railroad serviced the business; on my layout the PRR serves the business.
davidchriswilson: The yard below the bridges is my URR Valley yard. Cars that will be delivered to my open hearth will be delivered here. They can only be taken in cuts of two from the yard and into the mill.
davidchriswilson: Another view of the Union bridge that is spanning the P&LE two track main line.
davidchriswilson: The cinder covered area will be the location of the URR Bessemer Engine house.
