The German army used it as morgue for the hospital nearby. The Soviets used the hospital for the marine reconnaissance and the morgue as gym. But for basket ball the roof was too low, so they modified the morgue roof.

I'm not sure if it is genius or handicapt to built shelter with truck trailers. At least they used what was available. Following books of the WWII the German Army showed great respect to the ability of the Red army to camouflage their locations. Recommand
