ck122: Yesterday was Alex's B'day and we took over the Gangki Restaurant to celebrate. Many patrons were displaced to accommodate us.
ck122: This monk was visibly annoyed at having to make room for our party. I could not blame him. I was kind of embarrassed.

ck122: I believe this is the Yarlung Tsangpo (aka Brahma Putra), the lifeline river of Tibet. It's waters originate at Mt Kailash in the West and flow across Tibet.

ck122: Mt Everest fly by on the way home. Nepali side, only the tip top was visible. Linda had a seat by the window on the right side of the plane, and I was on the left. I craned my neck to see this bit, but she snapped this shot for me on my camera. Thank you
