Cornish Korev lager made at St Austell brewery in Cornwall. If you like lager then try it if you see it. I can buy it from Tesco where I live in Leicestershire,around 280 miles from the brewery. Delicious.

Snow again!! Been snowing for just 15 minutes although not as bad as the “light” snowfall we experienced last weekend. Ashby De La Zouch.

Friday afternoon in the pub! Bull & Lion in Packington, Leicestershire, allegedly the only pub in the uk with said name. What a beauty it is too. No loud music in here. Just Emma behind the bar & a paper to read. Quality time.

Refreshment at the Gainsborough hotel in Kidderminster. Here for a driver experience day at the SVR. A birthday treat for my 50th that I recently celebrated. On Monday I should be driving 50035 Ark Royal. Can’t wait.

My certificate I received having successfully driven class 50 loco 50035 Ark Royal on the SVR on Monday 16th July 2018. If you’ve never done it I fully recommend doing so.

Sundays = Roast dinner , beer, feet up & Formula 1. Who cares if Hamilton is almost world championship, The red boys will be back for another go next year & the supermarket will have my lager & my chair will still recline at the touch of a button.

The Plough in Ashby De La Zouch. 1st January 2019. Nice traditional pub. Coal fire, you know the sort of thing. Had a couple in there today during a walk before heading home for a lovely Gammon joint. Happy New Year everyone.

Niki Lauda, another true great has left us. He passed away aged 70 after failing to beat a serious lung condition. He won titles for both Ferrari and McLaren. Nicknamed by some the rat man he was never shy about showing his point of view. R.I.P Niki.

Pride & joy is my VW. Been mega dirty what with the commute to work. Gas man rang saying he’s running late to service the boiler. Got to be Birmingham for 2pm. So washed & polished the car. Luvely jubbly. Saved £15 over the poles doing it too👍
