Pfuetzi: After arrival and overnight stay in Jakarta, we drove to the very West of Java,
Pfuetzi: Holiday start, ready for adventures...Ready to "Just do it" :)

Pfuetzi: Lecker!
Pfuetzi: On the next morning: One of the outer islands, covered with clouds, seen from Krakatoa (it was still dark when we started).
Pfuetzi: Steaming Krakatoa.
Pfuetzi: More interesting rocks, nearly at Krakatoa's top

Pfuetzi: The first volcano done - many more to come!
Pfuetzi: Krakatoa's 1883 eruption caused tsunamis killing more than 36,000 people. The explosion is supposed to be the loudest sound ever (since written history started) being heard up to 4,800 km away...
Pfuetzi: After the 1883 eruption
Pfuetzi: Anak Krakatau, the now growing "child of Krakatao" was approx 300m high when we climbed it in 2014.
Pfuetzi: Late Addition (not our photos): Anak before and after Eruption on 22 Dec 18
