He flies the TARDIS into Planet Large Box, where he meets the Bubble monsters who are holding Planet Oblong Box captive:

What's this? The Bubble monsters try to attack:

The Doctor is too quick for them, and ably aided by Amy rescues Planet Oblong Box from the Bubble monsters and frees the gift inside:

He quickly frees the captured Fitch, releasing them from the roll that has imprisoned them since 20th December, and giving them vital oxygen. Hurray! He was just in time; they're still alive, every one of them!!
