Hypatia_PA:
So, have you ever won the lottery?
Hypatia_PA:
... the result of a purchase decision I could not precisely recall. I retrieved the scissors from the kitchen, and began carefully opening the box.
Hypatia_PA:
Within, I searched for the packing slip, but instead found a plain, folded brown envelope.
Hypatia_PA:
At that point, it dawned on me that what I actually had in my hands was a gift from my Secret Santa - and at the same time, I lifted out the bubblewrapped item and found a piece of paper folded beneath it.
Hypatia_PA:
Packaging
Hypatia_PA:
Before opening the wrapped item, I opened the letter, and ... Well, I'll just let you see for yourselves.
Hypatia_PA:
I very, very carefully unwrapped the bubblewrap, and revealed my own personal, signed, Gabe and Tycho, as depicted in the seminal work, Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3.
Hypatia_PA:
They are ... wonderful.
Hypatia_PA:
And, seriously, how amazing is it to have one of ten pre-production test sets? That was 3-D printed? And then signed?
Hypatia_PA:
I know right where to put them:
Hypatia_PA:
And, somehow, I think they fit right in.
Hypatia_PA:
My son, who was not allowed to play with my new statues, much to his dismay, nevertheless amused himself greatly with the bubblewrap.
Hypatia_PA:
Bubble wrap 2
Hypatia_PA:
Bubble wrap 3
Hypatia_PA:
How awesome was all of this?
