Proem: L4: And now in manhood's still unfaded strength

Proem: L5: Resumed in mood of earnest fantasy and high endeavour,

Proem: L6/7: Though at times my hope pales like a taper in the morning sun,

A cold fear

Proem: L8/10: And a cold fear comes shiv'ring o'er my soul, Lest the new garland I would strive to fling upon the starry foreheads should decay
