Relic from 150+ Years Ago...
Jamison Nicholls:
An artifact from the once prosperous Milwaukee Road main. A line that used to see thousands of MILW trains, including the famous Hiawatha now only sees a few trains a week. At least BNSF hasn't given up on this trackage!

100 years of history. Built sometime around 1920, this telegraph line has served for the Illinois Central, Illinois Central Gulf, and the Chicago Central & Pacific. It was then decommissioned in the late 20th century, when communication methods improved.
Jamison Nicholls:
CD 154 in Hemingray Blue with amber streaking. Found on the Chicago Central & Pacific near Webster City, Iowa.

The rarest piece in my insulator collection currently, a CD 125 in Yellow Olive Green. I found this back in July of 2018 in a South Dakota antique store for $8. It is worth more than $1500 today, with there being only around 12 in existence.
