Union Pacific 4668 heads east, in charge of a rock train. With SD70Ms on the UP system getting rarer, sights like these will decrease in the following years.

Back in late February, UP 1989 led a westbound stacker through Iowa. Usually these trains take the Blair Sub, cutting directly west to Fremont. Instead it took the Council Bluffs Sub to the south, which curves into Omaha, and then heads to Fremont.

An all EMD consist with two SD70Ms and an ACe head off the Boone Sub, and prepare to shift North onto the Sioux City Sub in California Junction, Iowa.
