raleighsheffield: Thirty min after arriving Munich I was on a bus tour. For those waiting for modern architecture, this is it, the headquarters of BMW
raleighsheffield: Seems I've done a lot of eating and certainly more drinking on this trip. It's lunch time in southern Germany enroute to Munich. Nice salad with chicken strips(16 euros) and wine(22 euros). About $44 US. The attendant really pitched the wine.
raleighsheffield: First meal in Munich. Traditional sausages(wurst), sauerkraut and potatoes and of course beer
raleighsheffield: Walking tour started at 1015 and lasted for 1.5 hours. This is the Bavarian court of Justice. Munich is the capital of the state of Bavaria

raleighsheffield: Interior of St Peter's which was reshaped about 1750 on the "Bavarian Baroque" style. Through my travels I have learned many churches and other buildings have often been redesigned to conform to the popular architecture of the "day"
raleighsheffield: The ceiling which was restored in 1999-2000. The church is affectionately called "Alter Peter" or Old Peter by the locals. No further comment
raleighsheffield: A really fun place was theViktualiearkt, a daily open air market with about 140 different vendors selling vegetables, flowers, spices, cheeses and many other products you must have. Most stalls open at 800am but the beer garden doesn't open until 900am
raleighsheffield: Fruit anyone?
raleighsheffield: Lunch time in the beer garden. Try to find a vacant seat!
raleighsheffield: Doesn't this look like a fun place?

raleighsheffield: On the walking tour was the world famous Hofbrauhaus which was a former brewery. They now make this brand elsewhere and this is a rollicking, roaring beer parlor
raleighsheffield: Entering the place at mid day
raleighsheffield: It was not quiet

raleighsheffield: Yep, still busy. I think I saw some of these people earlier in the day
raleighsheffield: The lady with the white purse is trying to find the girls room. Hope she found it!
