Ok while this is still Italy I'm enroute to Switzerland so I threw the next pics in this album. What follows are pictures of Lake Como, north of Milan. The area is beautiful

We've curved east away from the north end of Lake Como headed for the end of the line at Tirano, Italy

Look closely to see how every bit of land is used on the slopes to grow grapes

Change trains and lunch in Tirano. Switzerland is less than five miles away

Two weeks and surviving so far. With all the walking I think I may have lost a pound or two. I can see my navel now but I'll spare you the confirmation
