Alfred Fartknocker:
Fox Field near Lancaster, CA gets its fair share of Firebombers. This Lockheed Neptune is SP-2E N807NA, ex Bu.Aer 131424. It has stopped flying and is destined for the Estrella Warbirds AM in California.
Alfred Fartknocker:
The Museum at Fox Field, CA closed, but some of the larger a/c linger on outside. Fairchild C-119C 48-322 is only the fourth built and the oldest survivor after flying as N13745. Note the jet scabbed onto the top to help it along.
Alfred Fartknocker:
This 'Legacy Hornet' last flew as NASA 842 at nearby Edwards AFB. Bu.Aer 161214 is an F/A-18A and has ended up this pole outside the Clear Channel Baseball ground in Lancaster, CA. N842NA is only the thirteenth built.
