LindaBCool: Jen's van, "Moby", in line for the Bainbridge Island ferry.
LindaBCool: Me, taking a pic of where Moby is in line - behing a big panel truck in the front of the 5th line. Photo credit: Jennifer
LindaBCool: Moby, 2nd vehicle, first line on the right, behind the while truck
LindaBCool: You can see the famous big wheel ferris wheel on the right. I haven't been on it yet, but it's huge!
LindaBCool: I thought this sign was hilarious... You can see the Olympic mountains in the background.
LindaBCool: Seattle waterfront
LindaBCool: Space Needle... duh!
LindaBCool: Washington State Ferry... not sure the name of it. Each ferry has an Indian name.
LindaBCool: The point by the Bainbridge Island ferry dock as we approach it.
LindaBCool: Really nice homes on this point.
LindaBCool: Agate Pass bridge, on the way to the Hood Canal bridge (and the beach house).
LindaBCool: We did not turn here, but I wanted to remember where these famous places were.
LindaBCool: Proof that Moby is at the beach house!
LindaBCool: Klallum tribal art museum, close to Sequim (one of my favorite places). My parents collected totem poles from tribes on Vancouver Island when I was a kid. They would only buy carvings from the artist directly. I love totem poles and other carvings.
LindaBCool: The art gallery. We didn't go in though.
LindaBCool: Tunnel under the road
LindaBCool: History on Washington tribes
LindaBCool: Sequim Bay history
LindaBCool: Carvings and information inside
LindaBCool: More info on Sequim Bay and its inhabitants
LindaBCool: Sequim Bay - so beautiful
LindaBCool: We were also on the Olympic Loop of the Audobon Society of Washington
LindaBCool: Klallam Tribal info
LindaBCool: Tribal location of the Olympic Penninsula and Puget Sound region. We spent our time along the outskirts of the Olympic National Park, with the exception of the Hoh Rainforest.
LindaBCool: Visitor Information center in Forks, WA. We are at the rusty spot in the middle on the left side of the Northern Olympic Penninsula.
LindaBCool: We are HERE!
LindaBCool: Forks is the home of the movies about Twilight. Just about every other store or restaurant has the word "twilight" in it. And it's a small town!
LindaBCool: The trucks have something to do with "Twilight". The one on the left, "Bella", is from the book. The one on the right is from the movie.
LindaBCool: Forks Logger's Memorial. Those pulleys were huge!
LindaBCool: The Logger's Memorial. The displays show the names of the loggers who were killed during different years. Some deaths were work-related, some were not. The major were not. Hmmmm....
