The town line signs are disappearing in Maine, and are being replaced with the green ones that conform to federal standards. Most of the old ones are affixed to opposite sides of a wooden post. Complete waste of money.

Iconic Town Line Marker. Sanford, Maine. These two sided black and white signs have been a hallmark on Maine highways for decades. Unfortunately, someone has decided to replace them with the glow in the dark green ones.
