Banded Lapwing (Vanellus tricolor) near Cervantes Western Australia. Every year I have found at least one pair of these birds breeding on the local football oval.

Grey-tailed Tattler (Tringa brevipes) at Ocean Reef Marina in the northern suburbs of Perth Western Australia. It didn’t notice me while it was feeding at low tide and then it just looked up straight at me. I didn’t move and it then went on feeding.

Red-kneed Dotterel (Erythrogonys cinctus) at Lake Claremont in Perth Western Australia. The Lake is drying out and this attracts many insects which attracts these dotterels.
