I'm standing on the footbridge that spanned the North Tyneside loop line and the four tracks of the mainline. Manors was a sprawling junction station on a curve so it made for good photography.

This train is coming off the North Tyneside loop line. It was unusual to see freight trains on this line: there was a regular service of DMUs.
