04182020 morning update. Performed 80% water change. Increased the light by one stop (it was running at 3 stops below the full strength for the last two weeks now). Now it is 2 stops below the full intensity.

04182020 evening update. Very fast CO2 bubble counter rate, surface agitation with lily pipe and skimmer. I turned off the skimmer for two hours and noticed that otocinclus and amano shrimps became restless and were trying to reach the surface.

04212020 update. 80% water change. Trimmed rotala macrandra green, added small sten of ludwigia pantanal from 20 gal low-tech tank. Changed Gypsum-Epsom ratio (3:1 by weight). 2 full spoons of powder for 5 gal water - GH 7.

04282020 update. Performed 60% water change. Removed the bottom suction cup of the lily pipe to direct the flow slightly lower. This significantly helped to distribute CO2 mist to the entire tank. The video shows is very clearly.

04302020 update. Increased light intensity by one step, now it is running just one step below the maximum power. Performed 60% water change along with gently cleaning the substrate with turkey baster.

05042020 update. I added little extra of both macro (17 mL, almost 1ppm of nitrate and phosphate, 4 ppm of potassium) and micro (10 mL, 0.08 ppm Fe) fertilizers. I will add 15 mL of macro and 6 mL of micro from tomorrow.

05052020 update. Measured the pH at 2:45 PM (15 min before CO2 injection) and it was 6.65. Measured the pH again at 5:05 PM, right after lights turned on and the pH was 5.5 (1.15 unit pH drop). At 5:45 - pH 5.49, at 10 PM - pH 5.52.
