Not to often you get a FEC mainline train with no Gevo's in the consist anymore so when I got word that FEC 111 had no Gevo's tonight in the consist I had to get it. My third flash at the end died before the pic so this was only two flashes unfortunately

This morning the Florida East Coast (FEC) ran a LNG test run from Jacksonville, FL to New Smyrna Beach and with this awesome weather I decided to go get a shot of it. The consist included FEC 800, FEC 300 LNG Tender, GE Demo 3000, and FEC 819

Here is another shot that I really liked of the FEC Christmas train as it heads south through the saltwater marshes of St. Augustine Florida on a very nice but warm 80 degree December day in the Sunshine state

After chasing the FEC Christmas train from Jax to St Augustine I got word that FEC 226 would be coming north after the Christmas train so I decided to wait since catching a pair of GP40's on a mainline train is not as common anymore

For throw back Thursday here is CSX Q541 leaving Etowah yard with four brand new Florida East Coast (FEC) motors in tow on their way to Waycross, GA where they would catch a ride on Q457 into Jacksonville, FL where they would be handed over to FEC

CSX Q457 in a moderate rain storm with a pair of CITX units that FEC had been leasing. This was the first run for them on CSX and what better way then to bring back a freshly painted FEC engine #433 for delivery to FEC.
