Trains1983: FEC 101 the hottest train on the Florida East Coast heading south in some nice afternoon Florida weather with a pair of their Gevo's which in my opinion have one of the nicest paint schemes out there
Trains1983: FEC 905 the local out of Jax, FL seen here heading back to the mainline after just switching some industries. FEC locals are now your best bet if you want some of the EMD power leading
Trains1983: As the last little bit of daylight peaks through the clouds we see FEC 107 crossing over the San Sebastian River in St Augustine with a very sizable train bound for Miami with new power leading the old
Trains1983: Just before sunset Tuesday evening FEC 107 begins its journey south seen here leaving the south end of Bowden yard in Jax, FL with two big champs in charge
Trains1983: Not to often you get a FEC mainline train with no Gevo's in the consist anymore so when I got word that FEC 111 had no Gevo's tonight in the consist I had to get it. My third flash at the end died before the pic so this was only two flashes unfortunately
Trains1983: FEC 107 leaving bowden yard in Jax, FL heading south under darkness with a pink lady in trail behind the now so common Gevo. I still think these are some of the best paint schemes on any railroad right now but just a personal opinion
Trains1983: This morning the Florida East Coast (FEC) ran a LNG test run from Jacksonville, FL to New Smyrna Beach and with this awesome weather I decided to go get a shot of it. The consist included FEC 800, FEC 300 LNG Tender, GE Demo 3000, and FEC 819
Trains1983: Here is another shot that I really liked of the FEC Christmas train as it heads south through the saltwater marshes of St. Augustine Florida on a very nice but warm 80 degree December day in the Sunshine state
Trains1983: After chasing the FEC Christmas train from Jax to St Augustine I got word that FEC 226 would be coming north after the Christmas train so I decided to wait since catching a pair of GP40's on a mainline train is not as common anymore
Trains1983: Here we see the 2015 Florida East Coast Christmas Train which offers railroad employees, their families, customers, and suppliers an opportunity to contribute to the Toys for Tots program in the communities along the east coast of Florida

Trains1983: For throw back Thursday here is CSX Q541 leaving Etowah yard with four brand new Florida East Coast (FEC) motors in tow on their way to Waycross, GA where they would catch a ride on Q457 into Jacksonville, FL where they would be handed over to FEC
Trains1983: CSX Q542 coming through Emerson, GA with just a little power and a couple EX FEC leased units 105 and 107 in the middle catching a ride to Cincinnati
Trains1983: CSX Q603 coming through Crawford, FL with the pair of CITX units newly acquired that FEC had just a week before this. Definitely something different to see running around on CSX.
Trains1983: CSX Q457 in a moderate rain storm with a pair of CITX units that FEC had been leasing. This was the first run for them on CSX and what better way then to bring back a freshly painted FEC engine #433 for delivery to FEC.
Trains1983: CSX Q541 with 4 more FEC units being delivered. Q541 came a little early in the day so not much light to work with but still didn't want to miss it
Trains1983: CSX Q541 coming through the farm fields in Old Fort, TN with 4 more brand new FEC units being delivered.
Trains1983: CSX Q541 with a special delivery of FEC units coming south in North Georgia

Trains1983: FEC 101 with one of their four LNG sets pulling their 11,839 foot train south out of Jax, FL. I will say the paint scheme on FEC is in my top 3 for modern railroads
Trains1983: The Golden Light
Trains1983: The little engine that could
