Amtrak P960 the special that ran from New Orleans to Jacksonville, FL on February 18th and 19th. This was the first amtrak train to run this route since August of 2005 after Hurricane Katrina and amtrak suspending service

I'm not one to care much about the CSX spirit units but when you are out waiting for something else and one shows up leading why not go ahead and get a shot. Who knows how much longer we will have YN2 paint anyway

Not to often you get a FEC mainline train with no Gevo's in the consist anymore so when I got word that FEC 111 had no Gevo's tonight in the consist I had to get it. My third flash at the end died before the pic so this was only two flashes unfortunately

I know this shot is out of focus because I rushed setting up and anyone who does night photography knows it isn't a fast process to set up but I wanted to show what railroaders go through sometimes. Hitting large trees is on the list of dangers.

During my week in Kansas City I was able to complete getting all the UP heritage leading by catching three while I was there. Being from Florida I don't see them much at all. Here is the first of three UP 1995 the CNW leading MKCCN out of KC

Here is the second of three UP Heritage I caught leading while I was in Kansas City for a week and this was the last one I needed to have all the UP Heritage leading. Rio Grande leading UEOTDG into Kansas City where it would get a new crew and continue on

Here is the last of the three UP Heritage units I caught on my week long trip to Kansas City. UP 1982 the MoPac unit leading MDMEW through Kansas City and if you ask me this unit is looking a little rough
