We came across these derelict buildings while out walking from Shibdon Hall. Quite a number of buildings of what used to be Allen Brickworks. It felt quite eerie.

A rams head on the gate at the entrance to the dry stone wall area, close to Hidden Hall.

There was an area near Shibden Hall that was devoted to demonstrating how dry stone walls were constructed. Very interesting it was too.

You had to keep an eye out for tree roots and large rocks while walking at Hardcastle crags.
