Doesn't look much now but this border is a riot of colour with so many different wild flowers competing for space in the summer months.

Cucumber stalks being cut, by me, for use in the Chalk restaurant. Apparently they are stuffed.

I've never cut Fennel flowers before. I hadn't tasted them before this day either. It has quite a distinctive liquorice taste

Purslane, doesn't taste of much but is quite refreshing. Would be good in a mixed leaf salad I think.

Freshly cut lavender at Wiston House Gardens. This will be taken by those who work at the house or made into items by the gardeners for personal use.

I've never knowing seen a Hummingbird Hawk month before this year (2022) so I was pleased to record this little video of one at Wiston House.
