Jimmy got his first guitar at age 12. Apparently he was a little confused as to what to do with it.

At age 14, Jimmy appeared on ITV's Search For Stars Talent Quest. Apparently he was so nervous his knees kept knocking together.

After being spotted playing in a local hall, Jimmy was invited to join Neil Christian and the Crusaders.

While still at school Jimmy wanted to become a biological researcher and find the cure for cancer.

November 1962, Neil Christian and the Crusaders released the single, "The Road To Love".

After about 2 years on the road with the Crusaders, Jimmy was forced to quit due to Glandular Fever.

Jimmy's next move was to enrol in Sutton Art College, Surrey, to pursue his other love, painting.

While still at art school Jimmy was offered session work at Decca Records. One of his first sessions was on the single "Diamonds" by Jet Harris and Tony Meehan. This went to #1 in early 1963.

It's been estimated that Jimmy Page played on over 60% of all recorded music out of England in the early-mid sixties. This is one of those tracks.

Jimmy did so much session work that it all became a bit of a blur. He does remember playing on this song though.

In February 1965 Jimmy was offered Eric Clapton's place in The Yardbirds. He declined the offer due to session recording commitments.
