Scotland by NJC.: Bosham is an ancient place. With the ruins of Fishbourne Roman Palace less than two miles away, many Roman artefacts have been found in the area. The Roman Port may well have been at Bosham Hoe, a mile further south, West Sussex.

Scotland by NJC.: Light fantastic. The streams in St. Leonard's Forest are known as Gills. They often lie at the bottom of surprisingly deep and steep valleys into the Sandstone. Most of their erosion would have occurred after previous Ice-Ages, West Sussex..
