Alfred Fartknocker: It's not always 8/8 blue in Tucson. I was unlucky enough to be there during 'The Monsoon'. This is VC-131G, Bu.Aer 145962 in ARM/ DMI- clearly once based at Sigonella. Last noted here in 2014.
Alfred Fartknocker: This C-131 (or T-29 maybe) looks certain to fly again but I never identified it. Edit to add, it is VC-131G Bu.Aer 145962. Here's a link: https5://www.aerialvisuals.ca/AirframeDossier.php?Serial=4617
Alfred Fartknocker: This is in SAMs main yard (since cleared) but this Convair C-131D survives over the road in their other smaller yard. This one is 57-2552, CS084 in AMARC.

Alfred Fartknocker: Call me 'old fashioned', but these are proper aeroplanes, flown by proper pilots. Bu.Aer 141016 is a Convair C-131F which seems to have moved on to Opa Locka, FL where it flies as N342GS.
Alfred Fartknocker: Apart from 'NAVY' under the left wing, there wasn't a mark on this Convair C-131G Samaritan, seen in the ARM/ DMI scrapyard near AMARC. It turned out to be Bu.Aer 145962, which flies on as N45962.

Alfred Fartknocker: The militarised Convair 340 did great with most branches of the US Military. Navy C-131F Bu.Aer 141016 is seen here in AMARC with its PCN 1G0022 on the nose. It left the boneyard and has returned to flight as N342GS at Opa Locka, FL.
Alfred Fartknocker: This Convair C-131B Samaritan is pictured at the Eglin AFB Museum in Niceville, FL. It seems to have moved on to be a range target (!) l/n there in 2012. Bit of a rough end for 53-7821.
