SewLibra:
The old tree was getting messy so we bought a new one this year. Got the slim model with white and colored lights. Solid light, fade in/out, flash, change back and forth with remote control. I mostly just keep it solid white!

December 12, 2023 and I'm done! Everything decorated, shopping, wrapping and sending done. Now I can relax and enjoy the season.
SewLibra:
The slim profile of the tree makes it so we can get around it now without having to move any furniture. There are three corners in the living room but we need the end tables on two and one has the TV, so this is where I always put the tree.
SewLibra:
This is how the tree looks with the colored LEDs on. I had to take pictures in the daytime as my phone camera doesn't do well at night.
SewLibra:
My vintage lighted angel tree topper can't be used on this tree. I ordered a gold star from Amazon but it ended up being too heavy and was moved to the mantel. I got these ribbons for a topper since they're lightweight.
SewLibra:
The needles on the branches look more real than the old tree we had. They are made of rubber I think and won't fall off and make a mess like the artificial trees they used to make.
SewLibra:
The brass sleigh, reindeer and ceramic tree are all vintage. They were my mom's and were out for Christmas when I was growing up. The tree has a base with electricity but I don't use that part. It's pretty lit up but I don't trust the old wiring.
SewLibra:
This is the tree topper that was too heavy. The stiff spring made it difficult to fit too. I like it on the mantel so ordered another one for the other side.
SewLibra:
Same old wreath. It has batteries with a timer that I have programmed to have the lights come on and off at night.
SewLibra:
AND hubby even vacuumed out the garage attic because our Christmas decoration boxes were extra dusty this time. I wish we didn't have to store them up there but they take up a lot of space.
SewLibra:
Nash got a Christmas at his other grandparents first, then at our house the next weekend, and then at his house when they got home. That's a lot of Christmas!
SewLibra:
We got him this robot. We didn't have time on this short visit but the robot can be programmed to follow some commands. It charges by USB.
SewLibra:
"Smile" he kept saying with his new camera. I found this on Amazon for kids ages 3 and up. It takes real photos and videos, and has a few games on it.
SewLibra:
Nash's daddy got him a pool table for Christmas. Now there will be two pool sharks in the family!
SewLibra:
Some of the lights stopped working on the old wreath so I got a lighter weight non-lit one this year. I think I like the old one better though.
SewLibra:
I couldn't get the huge bows I bought for the topper last year to stay on this time. I took a couple of the clip-on poinsettia's from the mantel and that works. This tree feels tipsy so I don't want anything heavy for a topper.
SewLibra:
This year I left the bonsai trees that are always on the mantel there. I hung a few small ornaments on them.
SewLibra:
The tree with the colored lights setting. I usually keep them on white though. I wish my phone would take decent night pics. I had to take all these during daylight.
