It's happening! Finally quilting my big quilt! Ahhhh! #quilting

Really glad I made this mini quilt on which I could practice quilting. I can play with different ideas & not worry about messing up my actual quilt. Verdict: horizontal lines inside blocks, sashing not quilted at all, vertical lines on the border.

Made a wee version of my quilt so I can practice quilting on it & decide what quilting pattern I want to use on my big quilt. Can't figure out the best way to quilt these traditional blocks ... Going to play with a few different ideas.

average_jane_crafter:
Quilt blocks for my first quilt so far. I like 'em, but think if I use the mustard for the sashing, that's gonna be a loooooooooot of mustard. It's much bolder than i expected. May change sashing to the grey/dots & keep border aqua ... #quilting

Finished another block when I got home. Too tired to do any more tonight. Five more to go! #quilting
average_jane_crafter:
Phew. 4th quilt block finished. Now I'm caught up to where I was supposed to be by tonight. Need to finish 6 more blocks by next Monday. Ackkkkkk! #quilting

Second block for the night was full of screw ups & will def have a meeting with the ole seam ripper. This was the hardest block so far. It's late & I was frustrated. Just needed to get it done to see where it went wrong so I can fix it tomorrow. 3rd block

Had to rework my fabric just a bit to fit the quilt we'll be making in class. Luckily found an addition I love. #quilting
